Had the most amazing shoot with the most amazing kids! We shot (actually, Amy Berenyi shot) the kids at Tiedemann Park which is 2 blocks down Elizabeth St. from the Mew HQ. I later discovered that this park was the FIRST playground in South Carolina! How special is that???!!!! LONG LIVE LITTLE ROCKER THREADS!

Here's a special order from the Little Rocker Threads collection staring Widespread Panic. I really love these little things. It's funny where life takes you; I started with vintage t-shirts and it's evolving back into the treasures I love most. "I can't quit you!" You can't fight destiny........

Here's me and one of my besties, Brook Reed, looking spot on before we headed out to SKINFUL, the most notorious and EPIC Halloween parties the East Coast has ever seen. Yeah, there were other "bees", but only one BEE GIRL! You catch my buzz? (he he, see what I did there?) And here's my background music, as if you didn't know. To witch, I would bee surprised. HA! I kill me......: Dance like bee girl Happy Halloween!

Have I ever mentioned that there is a Children's book in the works? Melissa Nelson and I wrote (the best ever) Children's book several years ago, and now it's finally going to see the light of day! I don't want to jinx it, but (hopefully) it will be available before 2012. It's called Spice and Little Sugar. Here's a short description: Spice and Little Sugar by Megan Waldrep and Melissa Nelson is a charmingly funny children’s book told from the older sisters point of view. Spice isn’t happy at how her little sister hogs her toys and follows her around, and she struggles to find something good to say about her. But as Spice goes through the pros and cons of having a little sister, she learns that the positives might just actually outweigh the negatives. Deliciously illustrated with bold, bright designs, Spice and Little Sugar is told in child-friendly rhyme that both parents and their kids will adore. Perfect gift for the little girls that you know and love. Can't wait to show it off!

Where creativity THRIVES! LONG LIVE MARY ST!

So by now, you know how deep my love runs for Mary St., a.k.a. Mew HQ. But now, it's runs even deeper. We have quite a compound of creativity that is flourishing behind these great walls.

Below are pictures of all the people Mary St. is nice enough to let in:

Mew! My badass studio that will always be in my heart.......

Gaslight Street. One of the best bands in Charleston, SC and around the country. Look them up and go see them when you can! The band now practices here every Thursday and it's f*cking awesome. Free show for me while I work. Winning!

Below is Charleston Recycled. "Breathing life into portals of the past". Too awesome for me to explain. Look them up.

We also have an artist downstairs by the name of Teil Duncan. Super talented. You can see her at Mary St. until she moves on to Charleston art mecca REDUX.

So there you have it. It's almost too good to talk about bc it all means so much. When and if you ever get lucky enough to come to 36 Mary, you'll step through the door and feel it all over. Stop by people and share the love.....

Song for the love of my life.

I love you Mary St.
