Mary St. Magic

This is another one of those shoots that the stars align and everything falls into place. "Stars" meaning Bobtography, Model: Christie Buford, Mary Street, and Mew. Makes my heart sing! Lalalalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

BEST BEE GIRL COSTUME EVER. PERIOD.

Here's me and one of my besties, Brook Reed, looking spot on before we headed out to SKINFUL, the most notorious and EPIC Halloween parties the East Coast has ever seen. Yeah, there were other "bees", but only one BEE GIRL! You catch my buzz? (he he, see what I did there?) And here's my background music, as if you didn't know. To witch, I would bee surprised. HA! Have I ever mentioned that there is a Children's book in the works? Melissa Nelson and I wrote (the best ever) Children's book several years ago, and now it's finally going to see the light of day! I don't want to jinx it, but (hopefully) it will be available before 2012. It's called Spice and Little Sugar. Here's a short description: Spice and Little Sugar by Megan Waldrep and Melissa Nelson is a charmingly funny children’s book told from the older sisters point of view. Spice isn’t happy at how her little sister hogs her toys and follows her around, and she struggles to find something good to say about her. So by now, you know how deep my love runs for Mary St., a.k.a. Mew HQ. But now, it's runs even deeper. We have quite a compound of creativity that is flourishing behind these great walls.

We also have an artist downstairs by the name of Teil Duncan. Super talented. You can see her at Mary St. until she moves on to Charleston art mecca REDUX.

And to add to that: it's not being judgemental if its the truth. You can quote my Puerto Rican Grandma on that one. :)

Not that I'm promoting talking shiz. I'm just saying if you happen to, this is what you can do to cancel it out.

For example: "Dude! I can't believe they wanted the freakin' Clemson Tigers to be a part of the SEC. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! LAME!"

Coincidentally, I just saw a Lichtenstein exhibit at The White Gallery on Sullivan's Island and then came across this sicky T! Make's it even more special when you get to see the artist's REAL LIFE work.

It's these little things in life that make me smile inside and out.

Glad this dress made it to a happy home! I hope it is enjoyed as much as I enjoyed making it.

And here's sweet little Addy, one of the original Mew models looking absolutely princess perfect in the new issue of Babiekinsmag.com. So proud and I can say that I'm probably enjoying it as much as her mom and dad. I mean, her first modeling gig was with Mew. High fives.
